Courage to Solve:

Courage: mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty.

Courage is within me, there is nothing and no one I need to permit it. It is my choice and obligation as a team member. Employment at BasePoint comes with the expectation that solutions are my responsibility.

Spirit of Grit:

The nonphysical part of a person, made up of passion, perseverance, endurance, and resilience found in achievement oriented individuals. Grit is what separates those who are successful from those who fail.

“The essence of grit remains elusive. Grit has hundreds of correlates, with nuances and anomalies, and your level depends on the expression of their interaction at any given point. Sometimes it is stronger, sometimes weaker, but the constancy of your tenacity is based on the degree to which you can access, ignite, and control it.” —Angela Duckworth

"WWIWFMF" What Would I Want for My Family:

The origin of BasePoint is as personal as it is painful. This has helped shape the prioritization of quality when making decisions. Around every corner, considering “WWIWFMF”, protects the standard of BasePoint.

The most authentic thing about humans is our capacity to create, to overcome, to endure, to transform, and to be greater than our suffering.

Tend to Your Roses:

Roses are nature’s quintessential flower: They’re a timeless bloom, available in hundreds of shapes, sizes, and colors, that can add a custom element to any garden. But they also have a reputation for being finicky, hard to grow, and difficult to perfect for beginner and expert gardeners alike.

However, with the right care and maintenance—from soil and sun, to pruning and transplanting—anyone can get a rose bush to thrive.

Before going through this program, I never went through any mental health programs which felt consistently proper enough to feel like they really counted so, I consider my attendance through this program as more of my actual first experience. And, as a first experience, I thought it was great. Each staff member is great at their job and extremely kind and considerate, you really feel their desire to help everyone going through the program. It was admittedly an adjustment to get used to a group setting for me and I got really grumpy on days I was upset but the more willing I became to accept the program and stop resenting it, I realized how helpful it was to actually sit back and hear others speak and receive feedback. And, the staff did an excellent job in shutting down off-road tangents in a way that didn't feel humiliating or shameful to experience. They did a great job in making sure that everyone got to be heard without anything overstimulating into chaos during process. I would really recommend this place to anyone who feels like they are in a rut or need help of this kind. This place really helped me stop feeling so worthless, hopeless and alone in my struggles by its ability to connect and engage with others and be given feedback in ways to cope. I will admit that most of the coping strategies felt extremely stupid when I first came to the place but I then had a shift in my mentality, to allow myself to actively engage with the skills instead of acting above it. My main advice to anyone looking to enter this program is that you should go into it with an open-mind, this makes the process a million times better for you because no one can truly help you if you cannot even help yourself. That lesson is the most important thing I learned from this program. Thanks a million for this wonderful program!

I attended Basepoint from late April to the End of July. Everyone working here is so accommodating and helpful. The difference I can see within myself from before attending to now is amazing. I've learned so many skills here and hearing other peoples perspectives on my experience can be so extremely helpful. Everyone has fantastic insight and it's a very safe, supportive, and open environment. The therapists are super helpful and welcoming as well. I definitely recommend this program!
