EXCELLENT Based on 8 reviews Posted on Will Culbertson18/08/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This place was great Emily was my therapist she is amazingPosted on Ian Pauken16/08/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Before going through this program, I never went through any mental health programs which felt consistently proper enough to feel like they really counted so, I consider my attendance through this program as more of my actual first experience. And, as a first experience, I thought it was great. Each staff member is great at their job and extremely kind and considerate, you really feel their desire to help everyone going through the program. It was admittedly an adjustment to get used to a group setting for me and I got really grumpy on days I was upset but the more willing I became to accept the program and stop resenting it, I realized how helpful it was to actually sit back and hear others speak and receive feedback. And, the staff did an excellent job in shutting down off-road tangents in a way that didn't feel humiliating or shameful to experience. They did a great job in making sure that everyone got to be heard without anything overstimulating into chaos during process. I would really recommend this place to anyone who feels like they are in a rut or need help of this kind. This place really helped me stop feeling so worthless, hopeless and alone in my struggles by its ability to connect and engage with others and be given feedback in ways to cope. I will admit that most of the coping strategies felt extremely stupid when I first came to the place but I then had a shift in my mentality, to allow myself to actively engage with the skills instead of acting above it. My main advice to anyone looking to enter this program is that you should go into it with an open-mind, this makes the process a million times better for you because no one can truly help you if you cannot even help yourself. That lesson is the most important thing I learned from this program. Thanks a million for this wonderful program!Posted on vikki johnson22/07/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Aetna provides comprehensive mental health services, including therapy, counseling, and addiction treatment.
These services are accessible through a nationwide network of behavioral health providers and more than 89,000 Employee Assistance Programs. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that's triggered by experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. This could include natural disasters, serious accidents, or military combat. Symptoms typically include intrusive memories, avoidance behaviors, and heightened reactions. Treatments involve trauma-focused psychotherapies like cognitive processing therapy or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Your coverage may also include medications such as Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs). Aetna insurance plans generally provide coverage for PTSD treatments, both psychotherapy and medication management. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a chronic mental health condition that is characterized by recurring, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behavior or mental acts (compulsions). These obsessions often cause significant anxiety or distress and you perform the compulsions to alleviate this discomfort. This happens even when the actions are irrational or disruptive.
Common obsessions include fear of contamination, harm, or needing symmetry. The compulsions might involve excessive cleaning, checking, or ordering items. OCD can significantly impair daily functioning and relationships when it's left untreated. Aetna insurance generally provides coverage for OCD treatment that can include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). The extent of coverage depends on your plan and many plans require prior authorization or have network restrictions. You should have a detailed understanding of what your insurance policy will cover before beginning treatment. You can do this easily by calling BasePoint BreakThrough.
Trauma treatment addresses the psychological impact that distressing events have had on you. The goal is to help you process and integrate the experience using trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, and somatic therapies that focus on bodily sensations related to the trauma. The goal is to reduce the symptoms and improve your emotional regulation, thus improving your overall function.
Aetna offers coverage for various trauma treatments as part of its mental health services. Coverage specifics, such as the number of therapy sessions, types of approved treatments, deductibles, and copay, will vary by plan. It's important to understand the details of your coverage, which you can do easily by calling us at 972-325-2633.
Depression is a common mental health disorder that's characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, loss of interest, and various physical and emotional challenges. Treatment involves psychotherapy and may include antidepressant medications to alleviate symptoms. Aetna's health insurance plans generally cover depression treatment, including therapy sessions and medication management.
However, the coverage specifics vary. Before starting therapy, you must verify your coverage limits and benefits so you are not surprised by a medical bill. You can do this easily by calling us and speaking with our admission specialist who can also help estimate your out-of-pocket expenses.
Anxiety disorders include conditions that are characterized by excessive fear or worry. This includes panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder. Anxiety treatment often involves psychotherapy and mindfulness practices to reduce stress and improve emotional regulation. Treatment may also include medications like SSRIs or benzodiazepines for symptom management.
Aetna mental health insurance offers coverage for anxiety disorder treatment, including therapy and medication. However, the extent of your coverage depends on your plan and your policy. Aetna supports dual diagnosis treatment by providing coverage for these integrated programs that tackle mental health conditions and addiction at the same time. Your coverage specifics will likely limit the types of services that are covered, prior authorization requirements, in-network requirements, and out-of-pocket expenses. We are routinely asked, “Does Aetna cover mental health near Dallas?” Aetna stresses mental health parity, covering in-person and telehealth treatment options depending on your policy and geographic location. The following is a list of program examples Aetna may cover but it is not a full list. Call us today for more information and to verify your insurance policy.
Mental health inpatient programs provide you with intensive around-the-clock care in a facility with the capability of treating severe mental health conditions, such as acute depression, schizophrenia, or suicidal ideation. These programs focus on stabilization and crisis management through a structured treatment plan that involves psychotherapy, medication management, and group therapy.
Inpatients receive personalized care under the supervision of a team of mental health professionals. Insurance providers generally cover inpatient mental health treatment although the specifics depend on your policy. Coverage may include psychiatry and psychiatric evaluations, medications, and various evidence-based treatment options. Aetna provides coverage for medically necessary care, so your policy may require prior authorization before treatment can begin. When you call us, our admission specialists can verify your treatment coverage and estimate your out-of-pocket expenses.
A mental health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides you with highly structured treatment that allows you to continue living at home while attending several therapy sessions each week. An IOP is designed for people who need more support than a traditional outpatient program but do not require inpatient care. Typically, treatment includes individual and group therapy.
Treatment also includes skill-building sessions focusing on managing symptoms, stress management, and improving coping strategies. Aetna provides coverage for IOPs as a part of its mental health benefits. Depending on the plan, members can access treatment from in-network providers, with potential coverage for therapy, evaluations, and care coordination. Many plans require prior authorization or referrals, so you must confirm your coverage details before beginning treatment.
Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHPs) are intensive, day treatment programs when you require significant mental health support but not necessarily an overnight hospital stay. Most people receive several hours of therapy each day but return home in the evenings. These programs provide a structured environment for various evidence-based and holistic approaches to care, medication management, and skills-building workshops.
Typically, Aetna's benefits cover PHPs, which ensures access to comprehensive care. Because PHPs involve a higher level of care, most policies require prior authorization and may require you to follow in-network provider guidelines.
Traditional outpatient mental health services help when you need regular therapy or medication management but do not require intensive treatment. These programs are often used as a step down to more intensive IOPs or PHPs. You can still receive individual, group, and family counseling, and consultations with psychiatrists. Outpatient care is a flexible option.
These programs allow you to meet many work and school obligations while addressing mental health needs. Aetna insurance supports outpatient mental health care and covers a wide range of services. However, your covered specifics, including session limits, exclusions, in-network requirements, and prior authorization, depend on the policy. When you call BasePoint BreakThrough at 972-325-2633, our admission specialists can review your documentation and confirm your coverage details.
Virtual treatment is typically provided over an encrypted phone or video line. These telehealth platforms enable you to access care remotely while maintaining confidentiality. Virtual treatment is beneficial when you have limited access to in-person services or if you prefer the convenience of online sessions. Common services include individual and group therapies, psychiatric consultations, and follow-up for ongoing treatment.
Aetna covers virtual mental health treatment as part of its mental health coverage. Members can schedule video appointments with licensed therapists and psychiatrists through in-network telehealth providers. Coverage details typically vary, including deductibles, co-payments, and session limits. Your virtual services are particularly valued for accessibility and flexibility, allowing you to receive care from the comfort of your home.
